8. Do you ever try to get "extra" drinks at a party because you do not get enough?
9. Do you tell yourself you can stop drinking any time you want to, even though you keep getting drunk when you don't mean to?

Friend or Family Member?
It is important to understand that alcoholism and drug addiction are true diseases. Anyone, from any background, can be an alcoholic or drug addict. Although there is no cure, there is a solution. It is said that alcohol or drug abuse is a family disease because it affects every member of the family.
Take steps to take care of yourself whether or not your family member chooses to get help.
